Visitors get – not in a traditional way – acquainted with the life of a little town in the period between the two wars. The imitation of the little town of that period was made in the attic of the building of the museum.

In single houses and cottages, from which some are accessible, you can see the display of a household, tinsmiths, potters, a cobbler, hatter, furrier, taylor, ski-maker, a saving bank, school house and a grocery with a tobacconist´s.

When visitors enter the museum, they „travel through the time“: posters and advertisiments relating to certain periods are laid out in the corridors and in that way the should explain the travelling through the time: from the present (entrance of the building) to the first republic In 30´s (the exposition).

New exposition since October 2013 – the Jednota shop from 70´s.

The Gallery of the Painters of the Highlands introduces the works of the landscape painters who worked and who have still worked in the region of Svratka.
